Email Marketing Software Built for India

Everything you need to run email marketing properly — drag-and-drop campaigns, autoresponders, segmentation, A/B testing, landing pages and reporting — on dedicated IPs hosted in AWS Mumbai. Billed in INR with GST invoices, with 5,000 emails free every month.

What Is Email Marketing Software?

Email marketing software is a platform for building, sending and measuring email campaigns to a list of subscribers. It brings together four things that are painful to assemble separately: an audience (lists, segments, custom fields), a message (templates and a visual builder), a delivery mechanism (authenticated infrastructure with a good sending reputation), and measurement (opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes).

That combination is what separates an email marketing platform from the two things people often confuse it with. A mailbox like Gmail sends one message to a handful of people with no list management, no unsubscribe handling and a few hundred recipients a day before suspension. An SMTP relay transmits messages your application generates, but knows nothing about campaigns or audiences.

neuMails gives you both on a single account. Campaign email and transactional email share the same dedicated IPs, the same suppression list and the same analytics — so a customer who unsubscribes from your newsletter never receives another one, and your OTPs never queue behind a bulk send.

Campaign Management

Three campaign types cover essentially every sending pattern a business needs:

  • Regular campaigns — a one-off send to a list or segment, scheduled for a date and time or sent immediately. Your standard newsletter, product announcement or promotional email.
  • Autoresponder campaigns — triggered by an event rather than a date. A welcome email the moment someone subscribes, a follow-up a set number of days later, a re-engagement message after a period of inactivity, or a birthday greeting pulled from a custom field.
  • Recurring campaigns — sent on a repeating schedule without you touching them. Weekly digests, monthly statements, quarterly updates.

As the number of campaigns grows, campaign groups and custom campaign tags keep them organised, so a year of sends stays navigable rather than becoming an undifferentiated list.

A/B Testing

Assumptions about what your audience responds to are usually wrong, and the only reliable way to find out is to test.

Create an A/B test campaign with multiple variations — different subject lines, different sender names, different content entirely — and each variation goes to a portion of your list. The platform reports which performed better on opens and clicks, so the winning version reaches the remainder of your audience.

Subject line testing usually produces the largest single improvement in open rate, and it costs nothing but the discipline of setting it up.

Lists, Segments and Custom Fields

Sending the same message to everyone is the fastest way to train people to ignore you. Proper list management is what makes relevance possible:

  • Email lists — create as many as you need, each with its own subscribers, settings and pages
  • List segments — define rules that automatically group subscribers by any criteria you hold on them, so a segment stays current as data changes rather than going stale the moment you build it
  • Custom fields — store whatever matters to your business: city, plan tier, purchase date, industry, renewal month. These drive both segmentation and personalisation.
  • List forms and pages — subscribe, unsubscribe, update-profile and confirmation pages, hosted and customisable
  • List tools — split a large list into smaller ones, sync between lists, and de-duplicate without exporting to a spreadsheet and back

Import from CSV with field mapping when you arrive. Every imported address is checked against your suppression list and blacklist before anything sends.

Templates and Drag-and-Drop Builders

You should not need a designer to send a decent-looking email, and you should not be locked into one editor because it was the only one on offer.

neuMails supports multiple template builders — pick the one that suits how you work. Create and categorise as many templates as you need, and if you already have a template from elsewhere, upload it and it will generally just work.

Templates support merge tags for personalisation, so a campaign can address each recipient by name and reference any custom field you hold on them without producing a separate email per person.

Landing Pages

A campaign is only half the job — the page it points to determines whether the click becomes anything. The built-in drag-and-drop landing page builder lets you produce that page in the same platform, in minutes, with revisions, variations, tracking and predefined layouts included.

That matters practically: no waiting on a web team, no separate tool to pay for, and no mismatch between what the email promised and what the page delivers.

Deliverability: Dedicated IPs and Automatic Warm-Up

The best campaign in the world is worthless in a spam folder. Deliverability is where most email marketing platforms quietly let you down, because on a shared IP your inbox placement is the average behaviour of every other sender in the pool.

  • Dedicated IPs from our own ranges, with correct PTR records and full SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment — your reputation belongs to you alone
  • Warmup plans that distribute sending over a period automatically, ramping volume gradually so mailbox providers observe consistent, well-received mail and extend trust
  • Sending domains that match the From address of your campaigns and apply proper DKIM signatures to every message
  • Tracking domains so the links in your emails carry your own domain rather than a shared one, which both looks right and protects you from another sender's reputation
  • Delivery servers you can add and manage yourself if you want to route through your own infrastructure alongside ours

Verify inbox placement rather than assuming it with Seed List Testing, and generate the exact DNS records you need with the Email Authentication wizard.

Suppression, Blacklists and Complaint Handling

Protecting your sender reputation is mostly about not sending to people who do not want your mail. Four mechanisms handle that, and they work together:

 ScopeWhen it applies
Email blacklistYour whole accountNever receives anything, ever
Suppression listsSelected per campaignExcluded from that send only
Bounce serversAutomaticHard bounces suppressed in real time
Feedback loopsAutomaticSpam complaints suppressed instantly

Email box monitors add a further layer, watching specified mailboxes and taking action against subscribers based on the contents of incoming mail — useful for catching auto-replies, out-of-office loops and role-account bounces that would otherwise accumulate.

Subscribers can also submit email block requests directly, asking never to receive mail from your system. We recommend approving these without question: someone determined not to hear from you is a complaint waiting to happen, and complaints cost far more than the address is worth.

Reporting and the Overview Dashboard

The overview dashboard shows counters for lists, campaigns, subscribers and templates alongside recent campaign details and a detailed activity report — enough to know the state of your account at a glance.

Per campaign, you get delivery, open, click, bounce, unsubscribe and complaint data, with the underlying events available in Email Logs and deeper analysis in Email Analytics. Everything exports to CSV, and webhooks push events into your own systems in real time with automatic retry.

Login logs record who accessed the account and when, including failed and blocked attempts — worth having when more than one person has access.

Surveys

Ask your subscribers questions directly rather than inferring everything from click behaviour. Build surveys, send them to a list or segment, and read detailed statistics on responses — then use what you learn to drive segmentation for future campaigns.

API Keys and Integrations

Marketing teams work in the interface; engineering teams often need the platform to respond to what happens in the product. API keys let external applications connect to your account and run actions programmatically — adding subscribers when someone signs up, creating campaigns from your own system, or pulling reporting into an internal dashboard.

The same account also includes the REST Email API for transactional sending and the SMTP relay for anything that speaks SMTP. Use all three interchangeably; logs, suppression and analytics stay unified across them.

Two-Factor Authentication and Account Security

Your subscriber database is one of the more sensitive assets your business holds, and a compromised email marketing account can send in your name to every customer you have. 2FA can be enabled per account, login attempts are logged, and user management controls who can do what.

Built for India, Priced in Rupees

Global email marketing platforms treat India as a billing afterthought. neuMails is built the other way round:

  • INR billing with GST-compliant invoices — no forex mark-up, no international card friction, clean input credit for your finance team
  • Data residency in India — infrastructure in AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai), relevant for DPDP Act compliance
  • IST support hours from engineers who understand Indian ISPs and Indian sending patterns
  • Local performance — Mumbai-hosted infrastructure means faster delivery to an India-heavy recipient base
  • 5,000 emails free every month, not a countdown trial — a recurring allowance you can run real campaigns on

Choosing an Email Marketing Platform in India

Most comparisons come down to price per thousand emails, which is the least useful number available. Questions that actually predict whether you will be happy in a year:

  • Are you on a dedicated IP or a shared pool? On a shared pool, another sender's bad list becomes your spam folder.
  • Are you charged per contact or per email? Contact-based pricing punishes you for keeping a list you email occasionally.
  • What happens to a hard bounce? If it is not suppressed automatically before the next send, your reputation is being spent carelessly.
  • Can you see per-message logs? Without them, "it went to spam" is unfalsifiable.
  • Where does subscriber data live? This is a DPDP question, not a technical preference.
  • Is billing in INR with a GST invoice? USD billing means your cost moves with the exchange rate.
  • Does the same account handle transactional email? Running campaigns and OTPs on separate platforms means two suppression lists, two reputations and two bills.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is email marketing software?

Email marketing software is a platform for building, sending and measuring email campaigns to a list of subscribers. It combines list and segment management, a template builder, scheduling and automation, and reporting on opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes. Unlike a mailbox or an SMTP relay alone, it manages the audience and the campaign, not just the transmission.

How is email marketing software different from an SMTP relay?

An SMTP relay transmits individual messages your application generates. Email marketing software manages lists, designs campaigns, schedules sends and reports on engagement. neuMails includes both on one account, so campaign email and transactional email share the same infrastructure, suppression list and analytics.

Do I need technical skills to use it?

No. Campaigns are built in a drag-and-drop editor, lists are imported from CSV, and segments are defined with point-and-click rules. Developers who want programmatic control can use API keys to manage subscribers and campaigns from their own systems, but nothing requires code.

How many emails can I send for free?

5,000 emails every month, free, with no credit card required. That is a recurring monthly allowance rather than a time-limited trial, so you can run real campaigns on it indefinitely and upgrade when your volume grows.

Can I run A/B tests on campaigns?

Yes. Create A/B test campaigns with multiple variations of subject line, sender name or content, send each variation to a portion of your list, and let the platform report which performed better on opens and clicks before the remainder is sent.

What is an autoresponder campaign?

An autoresponder sends automatically in response to an event rather than on a fixed date — a welcome email when someone subscribes, a follow-up a set number of days later, or a birthday message. Recurring campaigns are the related type that send on a repeating schedule, such as a weekly newsletter.

Can I import my existing subscriber list?

Yes. Import from CSV with field mapping to your custom fields. List tools also let you split a large list into smaller ones, sync between lists, and de-duplicate. Imported addresses are checked against your suppression list and blacklist before any send.

Do I get a dedicated IP for marketing campaigns?

Yes. Campaigns send from dedicated IPs in our own ranges, with automated warm-up plans that ramp volume gradually so mailbox providers extend trust. High-volume senders can split campaign traffic and transactional traffic across separate IPs so one reputation never affects the other.

How do you handle unsubscribes and complaints?

Unsubscribes are processed automatically and the address is blocked from all future sends. Spam complaints arrive through feedback loops with major providers and are suppressed in real time. Subscribers can also submit email block requests directly, which we recommend approving without question.

What are suppression lists and how do they differ from a blacklist?

A blacklist applies to your whole account — addresses on it never receive anything. Suppression lists are selected per campaign, so you can exclude a specific set of recipients from one send without blocking them permanently. The two work together to protect your sender reputation.

Is my subscriber data stored in India?

Yes. All neuMails infrastructure runs in AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). Subscriber data, campaign content and logs remain within India, which simplifies DPDP Act 2023 compliance and data-residency requirements for regulated industries.

Can I build landing pages as well as emails?

Yes. The drag-and-drop landing page builder creates pages with revisions, variations and tracking built in, so a campaign and the page it points to can be produced in the same platform without a separate website tool.

Is billing in INR with a GST invoice?

Yes. Plans are priced and billed in Indian rupees from ₹528 per month, with GST-compliant invoices your finance team can claim input credit against. There is no forex mark-up and no international card friction.

Can I connect it to my own application?

Yes. Create API keys to let external applications add subscribers, create campaigns and read reports programmatically. Sending domains, tracking domains and delivery servers can also be managed from your account.
